The Staff

Currently, although we have many authors, there are two of us responsible for this web site. This may change in the future, or it may not. It depends on whether or not it needs to change. At any rate, here's some info about us.

Jim Mock

Jim is the founder of the FreeBSD 'zine. For more information on how the site came about, go here. Currently, he plays web guy and co-editor along with Joel.

He works for O|S|D|N, (a VA Linux company) as a systems administrator. He also gets to write some of the internal documentation.

He lives in Concord, Massachusetts (Boston area) with his girlfriend and their dog, Molly.

When he's not in front of a computer, he can be found lounging around the house with his girlfriend, playing with his Playstation, watching movies, or playing with the dog. He also has a web site that you can check out if you're bored.

Joel Sutton

Joel is the co-editor of the FreeBSD 'zine and is a founding member of VicFUG, the Victoria FreeBSD Users Group in Melbourne, Australia. He currently serves as webmaster for the group.

About 2 years ago, Joel started Busy Bee Consulting, which keeps him working most days of the week. Busy Bee specializes in developing Internet and Intranet web applications using technologies such as PHP, Cold Fusion, Perl, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL, and ASP.

He lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife Michelle. He used to have some goldfish, but they didn't make it :-(

When he's not chained to the office computer, he can be found in front of the Playstation, watching cable TV, in the garden, or playing with his one year old niece.
