## Keeping it all together ## Jim Mock In the last issue, the title of this column was "Putting it all together", and now that everything is up and we've got the first issue under our belts, I thought that this month's title suits it well. Keeping it all together involves more than you might think. In addition to pestering the current authors for new articles every month, I've been recruiting new authors (many of their articles are in this issue), organizing mirror sites, and trying to come up with interesting topics for articles. We also had over 6,500 hits site-wide within the first week that Issue #1 was online, and hopefully the momentum will stay with us. One thing that we're concerned about is losing the interest of people reading the 'zine. Any suggestions for article subjects that readers are interested in seeing covered in future issues are highly regarded because of this. On the same note, if you've got a great idea for an article and would like to write it for an upcoming issue, please do. With any luck by the time you're reading this editorial, all of our existing mirrors will be up and functional. We're still working with some of them, and we're in the process of setting up a central FTP site so our mirrors can update easily. We're also working on a mailing list that we hope to have finished by the time Issue #3 is out at the beginning of March. Before I wrap up, I'd like to especially thank all of our authors. Keep those articles flowing, you're all doing an outstanding job. I'd also like to thank our mirror sites and all of our readers. None of this would be possible without any of you. Thanks guys! - Jim $Id: editor.txt,v 1.1 2000/02/16 08:07:42 jim Exp $
